Newborn Babies

If you've never been near one, or held one, you just don't know. The smell of a newborn's breath is intoxicating. Their breath conjures images of newness, fresh starts, purity, and all things good. It to enough to just be near them.  We enjoy lying next to our newborns as they sleep, breathing in their scent, smiling at their beauty.

It is an aroma that Mom's want to bottle. We want to remember our babies perfection, bottled in their scent. Alas, it's never been done, so we must content ourselves with capturing all they are for the few weeks it lasts.

However, grandmothers get to experience it again with their grandchildren. Ahhh, what sweet memories. Perhaps the scent isn't treasured as intensely as the Mother, but it is a sweet memory indeed.

Now, of course, newborns have a bevy of other bodily smells that are best left unmentioned. We only bring that up to say we are aware of them, but emphatically state they do NOT deter us from the joy of smelling their breath of freshness. They are all worth it!

I even think that the scent of a newborn is what helps to perpetuate humanity. Perhaps that's a bold statement, even borderline crazy. But, after all, it is my prerogative to make crazy claims. I'm a woman.

A man's Cologne

Refreshing, daring, sensual, masculine, fresh...these are some of the many words that describe the scents that a man can wear. Why do they choose the aromas that they wear? What prompts them to put that scent on for that day? Is it based on the company they will be with, or simply their mood? Or, do they not even think about it and just go with what they have on hand?s

Being single, I am curious about these things. However, it definitely doesn't stop me from enjoying the occasional scent off a man. There is something about a man wearing cologne that comes across to me as a proclivity to be clean, fresh, and orderly. Perhaps it's merely because of my Dad...

My Dad was a tough construction foreman, so he was quite filthy & smelly

when he came home. He always showered right away after getting home, and he most definitely always wore after shave of some kind. He had a collection of bottles on his bedroom dresser that had different kinds of cologne in them. He still does this at 84 years of age!

So wherever you are, men, please know that many women truly appreciate the fragrances you wear. We love that you take the time and care to go the extra mile for your cleanliness. We love the smells too. And, I gotta admit, it's sexy. Very.
