Scented Nectar's Sequentially Stitched
1708 Free Needlepoint/Cross-stitch Charts
This is a collection of mostly nature and modern designs. They can be stitched in any size, and your choice of stitch - needlepoint or cross-stitch.
The patterns are in Microsoft Word's doc file format. The title page of each doc file has a colour chart that you can bring to the store and use to buy matching floss or yarn. Print in colour laser for best colour matching. The files are set up for 8½ x 11 paper.

All patterns above were made from my own photos and graphics, except for the Decorative Doobies section. Also, the 2 baby patterns are made from very old pictures of myself but I don't know who took the pictures.
How it Works:
The charts all use a counted,
full colour, gridded, sequential system. Complex
patterns are made easy to follow and stitch. Each
added colour has it's own page, so the charts always
look the same as the stage you're at in stitching, like in this
small example:

| Step
1 starts with colour black |
Step
2 adds colour dark brown |
Step
3 adds colour medium brown |
Step
4 adds colour light brown |
If you were only using the final picture to work from, it would be hard to see which are black and which are dark brown making it difficult to stitch. This sequential system avoids that problem completely. When you finish stitching black from step 1's page, you know for sure that all new stitches on step 2's page are to be done in dark brown. Easy!
