Description:

Size/Shape Climber. Compact vine. Grows to 1-2’ in container. This vine does well in containers and is very attractive in hanging baskets. Slow to moderate growth. Twining. Initially slow growing. Woody climber.
Leaves Deep green, shiny leaves. The small leathery leaves are glossy deep green and arranged in opposite pairs along the stems.
Flowers Delicate yellow petals. The small pinwheel-shaped flowers are light yellow. Creamy white flowers. Flowers are produced on short laterals that grow from old wood. Creamy white flowers which yellow with age. Flowers look like jasmine.
Blooming Season Blooms nearly nonstop from late winter to fall. Spring and summer. July to August.
Fragrance A sweet fragrance. The fragrance of woodland wildflowers. Its sweetness intensifies after sundown. A delightful jasmine-like fragrance. Spicy fragrance. Heavily scented flowers. Delicious perfume. The flowers have a sweet refreshing perfume.


Growing Info:

Propagation Easy to propagate by layers (stems root where they touch the ground) and cuttings. Semi-hardwood cuttings. Seeds. Cuttings during warmer months. 4-6 in (10-15 cm) long semi-ripe stem cuttings.
Soil Prefers rich, well-drained soil but will succeed in most soils except those that are soggy. A light soil. Rich loamy soil. Humus rich. Loam-based.
Water Does not like to be soggy. Prefers moist, well drained soil but will tolerate less than ideal situations and can handle short periods of drought once established. Regular watering. Not soaking wet.
