Description:
Size/Shape Creeping succulent with thin thread-like stems. Cascading. Moderately slow in growth. Great in hanging baskets. Trailing or hanging stem.
Leaves Leaves are fleshy and round. Succulent. Has small spherical leaves about 1/4 inch in diameter. These are strung on thin stems like beads of a necklace. Leaves have a small window that allows light into the interior.
Flowers White or near white. Small ball like clusters of white flowers.
Blooming Season Mid fall to mid winter. January to March.
Fragrance A nice sweet frangrance with a hint of cinnamon when close to plant. Smells like cloves. Astonishing sweet perfume.


Growing Info:
Propagation Herbaceous stem cuttings. 4-6 cm stem cuttings in spring rooted directly in cactus mix. Several cuttings rooted in a basket will give you a fuller looking plant. Easily propagated by cuttings, or more accurately fall-offs. It sort of sheds strands of itself.
Soil A well drained potting mix such as one suitable for cacti. 2 parts potting soil to one part sand.
Water Drought tolerant. Low water requirements. Allow soil to dry between waterings. Desert regions. Allow the top of the soil to dry between waterings during active growth. During winter allow it to dry almost completely and water just enough to keep the leaves from shriveling. Keep it on the dry side during the winter months.
Food Feed a balanced food once a month from March to October.
Light Light shade. Medium light. Bright filtered light. Direct sunlight will scorch the leaves. Bright light including two to three hours a day of direct sunlight through the year. Part sun but does even better in shade.
Climate Zones 8-10. Likes cool winter nights. Min. 5 degrees C.
