Description:

Size/Shape Quick growing. A little plant. 6 inches. Low spreading carpet. Spread of about 8 inches. Height 12 inches.
Leaves The pale-green leaves are glossy and feathery. 5-13 leaflets. Entire or often toothed or lobed.
Flowers One of the most free flowering annuals in cultivation. White, yellow-centered, saucer shaped flowers. Golden and white blooms.
Blooming Season Spring to late summer. May to August.
Fragrance Delicately scented. Fragrant. The flowers diffuse a gentle sweet perfume that is most pronounced on a calm warm day. Scented.
Use Attracts hoverflies to your garden to beat the aphids. Recommended as a useful companion plant for vegetable growing, with the 'bird-dropping'- like hoverfly larvae helping to keep down aphids.


Growing Info:

Propagation Sow seeds where they are to flower in spring. Sow 1/8in deep. Self sows freely. Germination takes place within 3 weeks. Light is needed for good germination; so do not cover the seeds with anything but a little coarse sand. Easy to grow. Germinates better when cool.
Soil Soil should be raked to a fine tilth. Well drained. Any soil including sandy. A fertile well drained soil.
