Description:

Size/Shape A fibrous begonia. Grows to 12" in container. It can spread out to around 3'.

Fragrance A Logee’s hybrid named for its fragrance. Emits a delightful honeysuckle aroma in sunlight. It reminds me a bit of Coppertone suntan lotion.


Growing Info:

Propagation Begonias can be propagated by seed leaf cuttings or soft wood cuttings. The seed is very fine. Plant seed in a light, well drained, media kept uniformly moist. Sow the seed thinly and don't cover it. The seed germinates in two to three weeks at temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees.
Soil Well drained, fertile soil. Organically rich, loose soil.
Water Moist. Heat tolerant if adequately watered. If in full sun then they should be given careful attention not to dry out. Keep soil moderately moist.
Food Foliage may start to turn light reddish color if fertilizer is needed.
Light Emits a delightful honeysuckle aroma in sunlight. Partial sun. They grow in sun or shade, but diseases may be more of a problem in shade. Begonias with green foliage do better in the sun then bronze varieties. Requires good light conditions. Adapts anywhere from full shade to full sun. Partial shade.
Climate Minimum temperature 60°. Tropics.
